A flaming review of “Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance”

Don’t let the title mislead you this is actually a good review, I really enjoyed this film and glad I watched it, I am a bit gutted that I left it this long after it came out to watch it though.

Quick Recap

Now for those of you that haven’t seen the first Ghost Rider film or just want a quick recap, here is that quick recap of how it all started. Young Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage) and his father Barton Blaze (Brett Cullen) are motorcycle stunt riders, until one day Johnny Blaze finds out his father has terminal cancer, the only way to save his dad’s life is to make a deal with a demon known as Mephistopheles (Peter Fonda).

The deal goes horribly wrong as the demon lies to Johnny Blaze, killing his father in a motorcycle accident during a show, and then making Johnny Blaze a demon vigilante himself known only as the Ghost Rider.

Main Review

Now for the review of the Spirit of Vengeance.

This film is again about Johnny Blaze but he has made another deal with a man known as Moreau (Idris Elba), this deal is a good deal though, it is to rid him of what he wants to get rid of the most, the Ghost Rider. As long as he managed to get a young child, Danny (Fergus Riordan).

This child is very ‘special’ as it is the son of the devil, Roarke (Ciarán Hinds). This isn’t as easy as it seems though as the child’s mother, Nadya (Violante Placido) won’t just give him up, that and there are more guys trying to get Danny to Roarke. The main antagonist  of this film is Ray Carrigan (Johnny Whitworth), who later gets transformed by Roarke.

That’s all

I won’t say anymore about the film as it will ruin it for you, so instead I will let you watch it.
